Bobby has recently found himself relinquished into the Charity’s care. He started off with a promising career racing before heading off to a new home to be a general riding horse. Unfortunately, after a few bucking issues under saddle his owner called the vet out to investigate possible causes. Bobby was diagnosed with Sacroilliac issues and despite attempts at treating and injecting his SI joints he was still showing signs of discomfort with a reasonable workload and the decision was made to end his riding career. His owner didn’t want him to end up in the wrong hands but also couldn’t afford to continue looking after a non rideable horse and they approached EHPPS for help. We agreed to take him in and ensure that he would always have a home for life with us or out in a suitable foster home that understood his needs.
Bobby is therefore available for foster as a companion or potential to compete in hand showing classes. He is registered with the Arab Horse Society. He is a very sweet boy to handle but can become stressed with new situations. It took him a couple of weeks to settle into Sanctuary life which we feel is still a bit too much for him, despite him now finding himself a girlfriend amongst the herd. Bobby loves his comfort and will require stabling at night throughout the year. he really is a good boy and we hope that he will go on to find an understanding and knowledgeable foster family with lots of love and fuss to give him. Ideally we are seeking a home that has experience of this particular breed, he truly is beautiful.
If you would like to find out more or think you could give this gorgeous boy the home he deserves then we ask that you complete a foster application form in the first instance.
