COMPANION

ABOUT: Mary is a kind and sweet mare to handle.  She is a very pretty little lady who enjoys a bit of attention.  She gets on well with the horses she likes but will readily defend herself from those who threaten her – she doesn’t go looking for an argument, just doesn’t appreciate being picked on.  She gets on well within our herd of 40+ horses and generally keeps herself to herself.  She has never been backed, she has a very slight roach back which has led to us making the decision to put her out as a companion as wearing a saddle may cause increased discomfort with this confirmation issue.

HISTORY: Mary came into the sanctuary along with Tobias and Wilson in April 2017.  All the horses were underweight (Mary was in the best health of the three) and the owner relinquished them into our care due to her ongoing health issues. Mary’s passport is registered with The Standardbred and Trotting horse Association of Great Britain and Ireland.

Does Mary seem like she’d be the perfect addition to your herd? Please complete a foster application form and send it in to us. Foster applications can be downloaded from the following link:
