BRIE – COMPANION

Breed: Trotter
Colour: Chestnut
Gender: Mare
Height: 15hh
Date of Birth: 2018
Medical Conditions: backend trauma
Foster Donation: £100

Story: Brie came into the care of EHPPS in April 2024 when she was found tied to a gate. She has had her right eye surgically removed prior to being dumped so must have been cared for at some point. She seemingly had an issue with her backend which we believe was the reason for her being abandoned, possibly the result of an accident whilst ridden or driven. No one has ever come forward to claim her and she had no microchip for us to scan.

Personality: A sweet mare that sometimes needs reminding of your personal body space, not because she’s pushy but because she just wants all the fuss and attention. She’s a bit of a flirt with the lads in the herd but gets on well with both mares and geldings.

Experience: We don’t know much about this little lady. We assume she was ridden / driven at some point but unfortunately, due to an injury to her backend, it is unlikely she will ever be able to carry a rider again. She is wonky behind, but it doesn’t seem to affect her quality of life and she is a very happy little soul. She is very good to catch, lead and handle in general. She is good for the farrier but can be a bit unsteady due to her wonky backend. There is no maliciousness in this girl.

Type of home: Brie is looking for someone to love her and shower her with affection. She would make a lovely companion horse.
