Saturday 1st August

EHPPS Children’s Showing Show (9am – 4pm)

Our annual Children’s Showing Show is being held on Saturday 1st August 2020. Aimed entirely at children 16 years old and under. Classes for everyone, a perfect setting to help children’s confidence in the show ring with rosettes for all entrants. Fun and relaxed environment.

Photographers AR Event Photography will be on site photographing the classes all day

Food and beverages will be available.

Schedules will be released once all the classes are sponsored..

Sunday 6th September

EHPPS Rainbow Showing Show (9am-4pm)

Our annual Rainbow Showing Show is taking place on Sunday 6th September 2020.
A fun day where we encourage you to be as rainbow as possible. Classes for everyone.
As with last years event all funds raised from show entries will be split between The Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society and Essex & Hertfordshire Air Ambulance.

Food and beverages will be available

Saturday 19th September

EHPPS Shetland Fun Show (10am-4pm)

We are holding our annual Shetland Fun Show here at the Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society on Saturday 19th September 2020. Showing classes for all, Shetlands and miniatures welcome.
There will be an agility course running all day alongside the classes, have a go at our in hand jumping classes in the afternoon – always a good laugh and new this year a long rein obstacle class.

Classes start at 10am.

Classes are £5 each with entries only being taken on the day.
Agility is £5 per go with a rosette for every competitor.

Schedule will be released once all of our class sponsors have been secured.

Are you in need of a companion horse for the winter?
Maybe you’d like a project to work with over the winter months?
Do you have a vacant stable?
Are you interested in helping EHPPS out by accommodating one of our horses/ponies during the winter months?
Maybe you are looking to foster a horse or pony in a more permanent basis?

Whatever your reasons you are all invited to attend out temporary winter fostering event at the sanctuary. During the course of the event we will explain to you how our temporary winter foster scheme works and how it benefits the horses and ponies in the sanctuary’s care.

All of our fosterable horses will be in the stables and surrounding paddocks for you to meet and read up on their case histories. Our yard staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about any of the available horses.
Our Chief Fostering Officer and Sanctuary Manager will be on hand to explain the temporary winter fostering process, what we look for in a foster family and how we are on hand to continue our support.

You can pay a pitch fee of £6 and sell your items on site. Our tack sales are always incredibly well attended and we are always getting asked when our next one is. No need to book a pitch, just turn up and pay your pitch fee on the day – sellers BRING YOUR OWN TABLES and can set up from 10am however NO BUYERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO SHOP BEFORE 11AM!!!
