Story: Lola came into our care via our friends at New Hope Animal Rescue, along with another little Welsh pony named Autumn. Originally seized by police they remained unclaimed and came to us at the beginning of January 2025 to receive further handling and, ultimately, seek a foster home to call their own..
Personality: Lola is a really sweet, well natured soul and the braver of the two, which is why she is looking for her foster home ahead of Autumn, who requires further handling and training. Lola can still be a little nervous at times but is till young and her confidence will grow with her. She loves fuss and attention.
Experience: Good for her feet, loves a groom and a fuss, very willing to learn. She has started coming out of her shell and showing that Welsh cheekiness. She has started planting her feet when being led and only wanting to walk the way she wishes, however, it doesn’t take much to convince her to head in the direction you want her to go. She can sometimes be difficult to catch in the field, but is good to catch in the stable. She comfortably shares a stable with Autumn.
Type of home: Lola is seeking an experienced home with someone willing to continue her training. she has lots of growing still to do, both mentally and physically. Somewhere her fosterers will be content to spend the next few years working with her on the ground and allowing her time to grow up physically and mentally. We prefer our horses and ponies to wait until they are 4/5 years old before they learn to carry a rider – they have so much growing to do in the first 4 years and we like to prevent complications later in life. She will make someone a wonderful little ridden prospect.
