Story: Lulu came into the care of EHPPS in March 2013 when she was discovered escaped from a flooded field along with two other horses, Maia and Bonnie. Their owner never came forward to claim them.
Personality: She is such a sweet and loving mare. She adores attention and will pull faces until she is receiving fuss. She can be sassy, more so when she is in season, but is ultimately a lovely natured mare. She seems more settled within larger herds but is still happy to remain a companion to just one other horse.
Experience: Due to complications with hindleg lameness she is no longer suitable for ridden work but is happy being a field ornament. She is good to catch and handle in every way.
Type of home: Lulu is looking for a long-term foster home where she can be loved and finally be given a chance to settle down. She has spent much of her life going out and returning from foster which just isn’t fair for her. She remains comfortable within the field with a continued No Bute supplement. Living out 24/7 would benefit her greatly. She holds her weight well and is happy in a lightweight rug when the weather turns cold.
