COMPANION

ABOUT: Jessica is a very quirky mare but also very loving, she enjoys a fuss and is easy to catch.  She suffers from separation anxiety when parted from her field companion but will happily live out 24/7.  She was a ridden horse for many years but navicular and her quirky attitude put an end to her ridden career.  She has suffered from laminitis in the past and her weight will need monitoring to prevent her coming down with it again.  Jessica has been known to rear in the past in hand but we haven’t seen this behaviour since she’s been back so we’re hoping she’s mellowed out with age.  She gets on equally well with mares and geldings but can be flirty with her male companions.  Generally good to handle as long as she

HISTORY: Jessica was found wandering loose on a road in North Essex in the Autumn of 2006.  despite logging her details with the relevant authorities nobody ever came forward to claim ownership of her and since then she has remained in our care.
