ANNIE – COMPANION

Breed: Shetland Pony
Colour: Grey
Gender: Mare
Height: 8.2hh
Date of Birth: 2008
Medical Conditions: None Known
Foster Donation: £100

Story: Annie was brought to the attention of Essex Horse & Pony Protection Society in April 2010 following reports of neglect. She was being kept in a small muddy enclosure alone and had done so for nearly a year. She had rubbed herself in places where she had lice which remained untreated. Thankfully, her owner agreed to relinquish her into the Charity’s care.

Personality: She is a sassy little soul when the moment takes her, especially with the lads and youngsters in the herd. She has been known to get strong and excited when being led but is never malicious. She loves the company of her own kind and is very good at making friends, albeit a little bossy at times.

Experience: She is good to catch and lead. Good for the farrier and loaded/travelled beautifully the last time she was transported.

Type of home: Annie is looking for a companion home where she will be adored and fussed over. She really is a sweetie, despite her Shetland pony sass and would make a wonderful addition to any foster family.

***If you would like to find out more or think you could give this sassy lady the home she deserves then we ask that you complete a foster application form in the first instance.
